Clayton Prescription Drug Takeback Box
The Clayton Police Department now has a prescription drug collection box in the lobby of the Police Department located at 10 S. Brentwood. This is the first year-round prescription medication collection offered in Clayton and is available to residents during business hours. The drop-off program is a free, anonymous, no questions asked initiative that prevents prescription drug abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, unwanted prescription drugs that are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse.
Accepted Items:
• Prescription Medication including controlled substances such as narcotics, non-narcotics, over-the-counter medications, and veterinary medications
• Over-the-Counter medications
• Vitamins
Not Accepted:
• Do not bring in illicit drugs, (ex. Marijuana, cocaine, etc) to the site. Those can be turned into an officer anytime.
• Liquids
• Sharp objects including needles
• Bio-hazardous materials
• Glass thermometers or other medical devices.
